Mowbray Park, Sunderland some time before 1921. It is a group of ex Northumberland Fusiliers, the man on the right is my grandfather Hugh Gallagher of Sunderland, he died in 1921. He had been a regular soldier with the Ist Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers until the end of the Boer War in 1902 and also fought at Khartoum in the Sudan in 1898.
