Vaux delivery wagon, steam driven. This is a Thornycroft 3 ton vertical boiler steam wagon of 1902. Following orders from the army, commercial sales started using different van and lorry bodies fitted to the standard chassis and engine. By 1930 improved steam lorries fitted with cabs and pneumatic tyres had become very efficient and reliable as well as much faster then petrol lorries. Info Len Charlton.
