Sands and Holey Rock, Roker c 1910
On the left the path runs from the cliff top road (out of picture) down to the road leading towards Holey Rock and the entrance to Roker Park The wide promenade along the road has stone balustrading with access to the sands and the tide is very far out uncovering the rock pools which gave great pleasure to children This area was the heart of Victorian Roker with many fine buildings including the Roker hotel on the cliff top road overlooking the beach.
