An early photograph of the Northern end of North terrace and Bath Terrace, the dark shape on the pvement at left is a lady scrubbing a doorstep. A great pity the horses had left before the photographer arrived, quite possibly the Sunderland Stagecoach which left from the Lord Seaham every day from 1834
