This shop at 14 Byron Terrace first appears possibly in 1929 under the ownership of Mrs Sarah Elliott, confectioner but certainly in 1934 and '38 it was owned by Miss Jane Burdus. It finally closed in the mid 60's when it was trading as a general dealer. Shown here as a hairdresser's to the right and what looks like a confectioners/ general dealer to the left. in 1935
