The Seaton Lane Inn in 2002, the original building at the left of the picture dates from around 1600 and until 1948/9 had a blacksmith's shop attached to the visible western gable. This shop was demolished to make way for what was, for almost the next 50 years, living accommodation, now a popular restaurant and kitchen.
