The boat was found for sale on the internet a few weeks ago by Brian Scollen, Brian informed Seaham Town Council who initially agreed to buy her but had second thoughts and did not bid.
Brian contacted the buyer who agreed to sell and with the help of RNLI men, Bob Williams of Blackhall, Tony Denton who visited Holyhead and verified the identity of the boat and Murton fisherman Tommy Smith who loaned the full purchase and transport cost of £1580 the deal went ahead.
Brian has been away on holiday this last week so all final arrangements were taken over by George Mullan.
