Jazz band jamboree on the Girls Grammar School field in 1963. This field had been the scene of marching bands a hundred years previously as for 50 years from the early 1860s it was the Drill Field used by the Seaham Volunteer Artillery Brigade for practice and displays on special occasions such as the annual inspection.
