Dalden Hall Manor House.
4 families lived here in 1841, 3 families in 1851 and uninhabited by 1861.
The Manor House, in the 1950's, demolished 1967 to make way for the realignment of the beck and road, built mid 1600s by the Collingwood family with stone taken from the no longer needed Dalden Tower
The 12th century stronghold, Dalden Tower, photographed in 1900. Built in 1155 it was uninhabited from around 1600. Stones from the tower were used to build Dalden Hall ( behind ) in 1610. Around the turn of the century the hall was converted into Dalden Hall Stud Farm, world famous for it's Clydesdale horses.
