Box Factory staff c1948. The factory was situated behind Ocean Rd in Grangetown on the site of the old Grangetown Institute.
The factory produced waxed paper casings for artillery shells, post war it became Wearside Cabinet Works and then Jackson's Clothing Factory.
It was demolished in the 1960s to be replaced by houses.
