Front Street Hetton in the 1930s. This is looking north-north-westward at a point near the church or chapel, which is out of sight to the right. There is or was a Wesleyan Chapel behind the photographer. Partially hidden by the more distant of the two single-deck buses is what later became Hetton Library but at the time of the photograph it would have been a school.
