Blackhall Rocks Rocket Brigade 1910. Blackhall Coast Guard closed in 1975, they had cottages on the beach banks not far from the Rocks Hotel, the building at the rear of the photo is where they kept a cart and a small rescue boat and cliff rescue equipment
Near the Cliff Edge they had a large pole with three anchor points buried deep into the clay and limestone for the Breaches Buoy for rescue work and training. Photograph and caption, Bob Williams
